Hello Dr. Liow,
Thank you for the wonderful competition experience that I had on Saturday, I enjoyed the contest and for some reason, I discovered that programming under stress isn't all that bad.
Thank you.

[Spring 2025]
Hi Dr. Liow,
Thank you again for hosting this contest, it was really fun! I had a couple of questions for you regarding competitive programming in college:
- What are the ACM and ICPC, and how are they similar and different to the USACO and IOI?
- How are the problems we solved during the contest different from those in USACO/IOI and ACM/ICPC?
- Besides ACM/ICPC, what other large programming contests exist in college?
- Roughly speaking, how many hours do you think I need to dedicate to studying computer programming, based on my performance yesterday, to reach a level where I can ace the ACM?
Thanks,
V***
